In general your dash specials will do more damage than the forward specials.ĭash attacks are SO GOOD in this game. Speaking of Sor3 engine, the game also has the "special ok" gauge, which is best used for the special to get enemies off of you. I guess you could disable running and rolling, if you really hated yourself. I know you can change a lot of this in the options (maybe that's what the collision mechanics option is for, hit stun?), but given how mobile the enemies are, I wouldn't change around the options. Everything from hit stun to dashing is based on Sor3 mechanics. The game is obviously based on the Sor3 engine. I'm just gonna write a big long list of notes about the game, because I feel like it. It's like playing the third one, but you can actually hurt the enemies! The game is a lot of fun and captures the feel of Streets of Rage very well. I downloaded this game the moment it came out, but I didn't start playing it until two days ago.
